Ingredients:

  • 450g Hard Pretzels
  • 57g Unsalted Butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tbsp Yellow Mustard
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Dry Ground Mustard
  • 1/4 tsp Fine Sea Salt

Instructions:

  1. Melt the 57g of butter in a microwave safe dish. Whisk in the 3 tbsp honey, 2 tbsp Dijon, and 1 tbsp yellow mustard until the mixture looks like liquid gold.
  2. Add the onion powder, garlic powder, dry mustard, and sea salt. Whisk again until no clumps of dry mustard remain.
  3. Dump the 450g of pretzels into your largest bowl. If they are full twists, give them a few light smacks with a rolling pin to break some up.
  4. Pour the glaze over the pretzels. Use a large spatula to fold them until every single crevice is glistening.
  5. Transfer the mixture to your lined baking sheet. Spread them into a single layer.
  6. Slide them into the oven for 8 minutes. You should start to smell the mustard getting toasted.
  7. Take them out and give them a good stir. This ensures the underside of the pretzels doesn't get soggy.
  8. Bake for another 7 minutes until the glaze looks tacky but not wet.
  9. Let them sit on the tray for at least 10 minutes. They will go from sticky to shatter crisp as they reach room temperature.
